The average number of GP’s has steadily declined over the past 3 years which is a result of closing healthcare practices throughout the village. 2020 saw an increase in the number of GP’s per capita, however this was due to the falling population due to the pandemic. Whistler anticipates it resident population will return to previous levels and as such, the GP’s per 1,000 residents is expected to decline for 2021 if there are no new practices opening.
