Municipal reserve levels are at $77 million as of 2021, representing a decrease of 16% from 2020 levels.

Why we monitor this

The amount of funds that an organization holds in reserves indicates the organization’s financial health and borrowing power into the future. Municipal reserves are reported in this indicator, as the municipal government provides most of the community infrastructure and plays a significant role in achieving Whistler’s vision.

What this measures

This indicator measures the total year-end value of municipal reserves (general reserves and utility reserves combined).
