Tourism Whistler was not able to collect data from 2020 due to the inability to conduct their in person intercept survey. However, the survey was continued in winter 2021/22 and this revealed a record number of repeat visitors. This can be attributed to Whistler’s reliance on the regional market throughout the pandemic.
Monitoring the number of return visitors to Whistler allows understanding on how competitive Whistler is as a new destination and also the experience and quality of products that encourage guests to return.
This metric measures the proportion of summer and winter visitors that are repeat visitors to Whistler.
