There have been a number of employee housing projects that have been completes within the past 5 years, so 2020 had the highest number of available bed units for employees, but Whistler’s permanent workforce is growing proportionally quicker leading to a decline in the ratio of bed units to workforce in 2019. It is important to monitor this ratio to ensure that there is sufficient housing for local workforce to enable work and live in community.
