The most recently available complete year of data is 2019 and it remains consistent with results from previous years, showing a slight increase over 2018. The results also continue to demonstrate a very high level of visitor satisfaction.
Ensuring visitor satisfaction holds essential to the long-term health of Whistler’s tourism economy. A strong economy in turn helps to support the health and stability of local community life. Capturing perceived experience reveals a visitor’s feelings about their entire trip from start to finish, and influences whether the visitor will return to Whistler and promote the resort community to friends and family.
This indicator measures visitors’ satisfaction with their overall stay in Whistler. Tourism Whistler conducts summer surveys in the Village, while winter surveys are conducted at Whistler Blackcomb facilities on the Mountain and the Village. Data is collected annually by Tourism Whistler. Results begin in winter (November) for year one and finish in summer (October end) for year two. For example 16/17 represents winter 2016/2017 and summer 2017.
